We must not confuse the tiny self with the capital SELF. The capital SELF or greater SELF refers to the divinity within us, whereas the small self refers to our awareness of ourselves, others, and the world. By definition, this awareness is limited and therefore prone to error, and can suffer from cognitive and psychological biases linked to our past wounds and our history. The capital SELF, on the other hand, is in essence unlimited, infinite, and interconnected. It is the source of universal, collective intelligence. Trusting yourSELF is not the same as trusting myself – quite the opposite. Confidence in ONESELF means relying on something greater than myself, something within myself. Confidence in ONESELF means letting go of oneself towards ONESELF.
